The day of the Comparsa

Many days of sanfermines have a special dedication (eight is the day children, nine is the day of the sister cities and twelve is the day of the elderly). Today, July 10th is the day dedicated to the Giants and their entourage. A date singular, considering that this year marks the 150th anniversary of the parade.
Among the events planned at noon Pamplona City Council has held a tribute at the reception hall of the consistory. Two hours earlier, the giants, big heads, kilikis, zaldikos and all members of the troupe have come to the church of San Lorenzo to visit San Fermin. After a welcome from the pastor, Santos Villanueva, the Giants have offered a simple dance to the saint, possibly limited by a more than fair. After the dance, all members of the Comparsa have been portrayed by the image of San Fermin, before continuing their long and emotional journey.
